A weekday evening works well in Edinburgh: places are quieter, you can actually hear each other, and there is no pressure to make it a long night.
Within 30 miles of Edinburgh there are 57 towns and cities — Livingston, Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy among them — with more than 1.2 million residents in all. In the app you choose the distance yourself: from 5 miles to 300 miles, or “Any distance”.
Yes. YADate is a free online dating site, in Edinburgh and everywhere else: profiles, search filters, likes, messages, voice messages and gifts cost nothing, and there is no premium plan. Daily caps exist only to stop spam: up to 40 new conversations a day, for example.
There are no fake profiles here: YADate doesn't create them or chat on anyone's behalf. Photos go live only after a moderator approves them, every account confirms an email address, and reports are reviewed by people. If someone asks for money or rushes you onto another app, report them — a moderator will look into it.
Yes. Pick any other city in the filters, at home or abroad, and YADate shows the people there.
