Safety
Most people on YADate are looking for the same thing as you. These simple rules help you avoid those who came for something else.
Red flags
- Asks for money, gift cards, crypto or help with "tickets, treatment or customs fees".
- Pushes you to another messenger right away and avoids questions about themselves.
- Photos that look too perfect, inconsistent stories, declarations of love after a couple of days.
- Offers "investments" or ways to "make money".
Protect yourself
- Never send money or share card details, passwords or ID documents.
- Take your time before moving to other apps — in the first messages YADate blocks links and contacts automatically.
- Do not send intimate photos: they can be used for blackmail.
First date
- Meet in a busy public place — a café, the promenade, a mall.
- Tell a friend where you are going and with whom.
- Arrange your own transport and keep an eye on your drink.
- If something feels off, leave. That is perfectly fine.
YADate tools
- Report a profile, photo or message — the "⋯" button on a profile or in a chat.
- Block — the person can no longer message or see you.
- Hide your profile or go incognito in the privacy settings.
- Photo and text moderation, automatic hiding of profiles after several reports.
Emergencies
If you are in danger, call your local emergency number right away — for example 112 in Europe, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK, 000 in Australia. Report suspicious profiles to us: support@yadate.com.
